Do I need an appointment?
No. Appointments are nice because they guarantee you will get tattooed on the day you want, but they aren't required. Walk-ins are always welcome.
We ask for a $60 deposit to schedule appointments. The deposit will stay on the books until your tattoo is finished and will be applied to your final tattooing session. As long as you give us 24 hours notice you can change your appointment as needed.
Deposits are non-refundable so make sure you give us at least 24 hours notice if you need to change your appointment.

How should I prepare for a tattoo?
Don't get tattooed on an empty stomach. Some people become nauseous or light-headed when getting tattooed, usually because they haven't eaten any food recently.
So have a good meal an hour or so before your appointment for a better tattoo experience.
Be freshly showered and relaxed. Feel free to bring an MP3 player or book to read.
Turn OFF your cell phone. Turn OFF your cell phone. Turn OFF your cell phone. Turn OFF your cell phone.
Tattoos take time. Drawing, making stencils, tattooing, photography, bandaging...it all takes time. Even a small, 10-minute tattoo can take 30-40 minutes of your time. If you're using your cell phone it will take longer...and you will be paying our hourly rate while texting or talking...we cannot tattoo while you're moving around.
So be patient and expect tattoos to take a lot more time than you think they should.
Don't rush your artist. It's ok to ask how long it will take, but if you have time constraints you should let us know before we begin...maybe a different day or time would be best.

How do I take care of my new tattoo?
Tattoos usually take 2-6 weeks to heal.
1. Keep bandage on for 5-6 hours, over night is ok.
2. After removing the bandage, wash with warm (mild) soap & water. Use your palm, not a cloth.
Don't soak it, just wash it, rinse and blot dry. Allow to air dry for 5 minutes to be sure it's dry.
3. Apply a TINY amount of ointment (Aquaphor or A&D Ointment) following each wash. Rub in completely, but gently, and make sure you don't use too much. If it's shiny and sticky it's too much...blot it off.
4. Replace ointment with a mild skin lotion as needed after one week, until healed. You can spritz your itchy tattoo with Bactine several times per day if needed. Bactine can be very drying, so make sure you use lotion in small amounts to combat this.
5. Avoid sun and swimming for at least 2 weeks. The sun will always be your tattoos number one enemy, so sun screen will preserve healed tattoos too!
6. Don't scratch or pick at your tattoo.
7. No sex for one year.
